Community Beach Clean
The Riviere Towans Management Company is proud to support the local Hayle community beach cleans that occur throughout the year. Numerous bags of rubbish collected by the volunteers is recycled or disposed of by RTCCMC

Volunteer Site Maintenance
The Riviere Towans site is large (over 40 acres) and takes a lot of maintenance to keep it well managed with a balance between the environment, nature & the overall appearance of the site. This year, following approaches from owners, Simon our grounds manager instigated a scheme allowing owners to help manage the site. See the sign up form under the Members section or contact the office for more information .

Operation Sea Buckthorn
Whilst Sea Buckthorn looks pretty, the whole of the Hayle Towans area has become overrun by this species, which is considered a non-native invasive plant outside of the east of England. Our grounds team have been gradually reducing the presence of Sea Buckthorn on site, allowing other local South West native plants to thrive.

Bee Keeping
Our beekeeping project was introduced to support and enhance the site’s natural biodiversity, and we are now in the second year of this initiative. Two carefully positioned hives provide a safe and stable habitat for honeybees, helping to strengthen local pollinator populations.
Bees play a vital role in maintaining healthy ecosystems, supporting the pollination of wildflowers and other plant life across the area. By encouraging their presence, we are contributing to a richer, more diverse landscape that benefits both wildlife and the surrounding environment.
While we initially explored the idea of producing honey, the financial costs and time commitment involved mean this is not currently a viable option. Instead, our focus remains firmly on the environmental value of the hives—prioritising conservation, sustainability, and the long-term health of local biodiversity.
